Crimping Tips
Tips to get the most from your crimper
A lot of people are not experts on using a hair crimper and so, we thought we would help save you the trouble and try and guide you on how to properly use your hair crimper. Here are some basic tips to get you started.
First, check out a beauty salon store to see a variety of hair crimpers on the market and find the best one for you. Don't be afraid to ask workers what they recommend, or even ask your stylist the next time you get your hair done. People who work with hair know hair best, so seek their help when finding good hair crimpers. Another factor when looking at hair crimpers is to see which ones work best for you. Hair crimpers have a variety of heat settings so see how hot you will need for your hair and also decide whether or not you're interested in using a ceramic hair crimper.
When preparing to use your hair crimper, be sure you put some leave-in conditioner in first! A hair crimper gets hot and can really damage your hair if you don't use it properly so please put in the conditioner or you could ruin your hair. Let your hair crimper warm for about five minutes before you give it a try.
Finally, as you crimp your hair, take it bit by bit. Pin your hair to the top of your head and slowly let it down in layers. As you let down a layer of hair, use your hair crimper on that batch. Once you've finished, start the next layer until you've finished crimping all of your hair.
